Title: Driver STOLE My Money

This was the most FRUSTRATING and ANGERING experience I have ever had. I am not exaggerating. After a LONG taxi ride home from Center City to East Falls with a stop to drop off friends, my boyfriend and I arrived at home. Without enough cash to pay the $32 fare, I pulled out my debit card. The machine in back was not working so the driver asked me to run it up front. Sketchy, but I had no choice. He took my card, and with it in his hand, voided the original fare, put in $35 and then added a 10 dollar fee. We asked him not to run the card and explain himself and HE RAN IT directly after we asked him what he was doing. After a 15 minute argument of me asking for my money back because he just stole a significant amount from me, we called the police. This record should have been taken but I never heard anything back from the company and never will. The driver's name was Jamal Hafez, taxi number P0-92. This company hires immoral, sketchy drivers and clearly doesn't care if the drivers are attempting to rip people off because they believe they are too drunk to know what is going on. Wrong. I am still incredibly angry about this and have gotten no resolution.
